Kennedy and Wendell on set with music producer Teddy Riley

Originally known as Kennedy ETC, Kamp Kennedy has now blossomed beyond traditional production and evolved into a creative boutique.

The winding road that led to “THE KAMP”: “In 2002, I was requested to put together a small creative team to shoot a client direct piece. We didn’t realize it then, but the video we shot would come to be known as ‘branded content’ in today’s market. Looking back on it, I guess you could say we were ahead of the times. When we pushed forward in 2003, our team partnered up with Maybelline New York to create dynamic lifestyle live action and photography with some of the world’s top models. This imagery would be woven together with stylized post production effects and seen worldwide by millions of people all over the world. These videos helped define the brand’s image and the success of this campaign led to work with other giants such as L’Oreal Paris, Garnier, IMG, Bath and Body Works, and Frederick Fekkai.

This work enabled Kennedy Etc. to expand as a company and go beyond traditional production creating long-form content. We documented many experiential and mobile marketing tours for product launches. From this content we created everything from webisodes, PR hype pieces, special event and sales videos, and many other direct marketing pieces which aided in building brand equity.

2011 brought on a new, historic project with Garnier-Fructis and Rolling Stone. We created an episodic web series following unknown bands competing in the magazine’s ‘Choose the Cover’ contest. While shooting the project’s content, we opted to also create a feature film documentary about this unique experience. The final product, ‘Beware of the Dogs’ was immediately accepted into the Featured Music Documentary category at the Nashville Film Festival. Its 2013 screening at the event was the film’s official premiere. The NYC premiere was a huge success in 2015 at the Tribecca Cinemas.
